The best you can do is use something to fade it, but the splotches don't disappear. Sun damage and hormones are the culprits.

Reply:does it itch? if it does try cortizone if not use cetaphil moisterizing cream its very rich
Reply:As far as clearing it up, I would use a gentle face cleanser. For bringing the color/pigment back there are products for that made for a company called Godiva, inc. They have a website here:

Reply:It really depends on what is making it blotchy. You should see a dermatologist to find out the cause and then treat it from there. Most skin conditions start from the inside, so you may want to restrict your diet to find what makes you blotchy (nuts, dairy, wheat, citrus, etc)

You can have anything from roseacea to allergies so get an expert opinion before you go putting random ointments %26amp; chemicals on your skin.
Reply:I've read all of the answers and I must say I agree with J B. You should get a professional to look at the problem. Until then you can purchase a gentle soap to clean your face and neck area because it may just be an alergic reaction to something you are using or eating. Also, get some Palmers coco butter to treat the skin discoloration and moisturize your skin.
