How do U get a lure 3 sets of 3 hook all barbed, hooked in thumb another caught in carpet under car seat out ?

The hook in my thumb, the barb was inbedded under skin and another hook was stuck deep into my cars carpet, My cell phone was in my coat pocket hanging on my shops wall, way out of my reach. It was night and no one else was around. I was stuck and in pain. What would U do to get free and get the hook out? Also once the barbs go in they can't come back out.
How do U get a lure 3 sets of 3 hook all barbed, hooked in thumb another caught in carpet under car seat out ?
Pull out my pocket knife and cut the carpet .If you dont have a kniife the quicker the better lol. And barbs WILL come out with enough pulling force

I prefer the hard fast pulling motion in exactly the opposite direction of the entrance wound. The barb will make a popping noise at it takes a peice of flesh and rolls it wrong side out and exits the body And its good if it bleeds a lot. Bleeding will help clean the wound .

Then your worries are over your free and can be on you way down the road Unless its a rusty hook and your out of date on a tetnus shot. Then you may need to go to the hospital .

You might wanna see a doctor anyhow if you feel the need to

There is one other option its kinna like pulling a tooth using the string and slamming door method but different.

Take fishing line (which should be handy if you keep lures under your seat) tie around hook tie other end to closed door. Crack door handle and give door a swift kick to open it.

you should get a result out of this. Atleast in theory it will work
How do U get a lure 3 sets of 3 hook all barbed, hooked in thumb another caught in carpet under car seat out ?
Well how deep in your thumb? If it is real deep, then your best bet is to push it all the way through so you don't rip your thumb apart pulling it out. If another hook is deep in your cars carpet, I don't know what else to do other than grab it with pliers, and take it out as easy and slow as possible unless the barb part is showing, then cut the barb part off to make less damage.
Reply:Pull hard and scream.... seek medical attention afterwards.
Reply:That's why most top Anglers (especially Specialist Pike anglers) recommend you carry a pair of handheld bolt cutters with you...... or the Pliers like the ones in my RAPALA ProGuide Forceps / Pliers toolbelt combo, and cut the hooks out, so you can remove them via the non-barbed bit.

Though most First-Aid experts I believe suggest you cut the hooks, and let the Hospital take out it of your flesh "just in case".... though I guess it all depends how deep it's gone in.

Here's a guide I found via Google on how to remove a hook that's ended up embedded somewhere you rather it hadn't:

Under the cheek and to the sides I feel a line of "skin" that stands out. Does everyone have this?

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about..then you're probably clenching or grinding while you sleep. When you clench or grind you can sometimes bite the insides of your cheek therefore leaving a "line of skin" that is noticeable.

I do that quite often because I don't wear my nightguard every night like I should. You can consult your dentist about it the next time your due for a visit.
Under the cheek and to the sides I feel a line of "skin" that stands out. Does everyone have this?
I have one on both sides and I dont grind or clench.

My daughter is only 14 she has very sensitive skin but i am most concerned with the bumbs under her arms?

she has used nair still the same problem. she is allergic to alot of things i mean fake jewelry all the way to seafood.so do i do about the bumbs?
My daughter is only 14 she has very sensitive skin but i am most concerned with the bumbs under her arms?
Bumbs? Whats a "bumb"?

Do you perhaps mean bums? As in your backside/bottom? Wow, that must make going to the toilet an awkward proposition.

Or do you mean bombs? Are you implying she's a terrorist? That's bad.

Other than that, I can't think what it is that you might mean. Hmmmm...
My daughter is only 14 she has very sensitive skin but i am most concerned with the bumbs under her arms?
You really cant do anything about it, the bumps arent an allergic reaction, its her axillary hair growing.
Reply:I had the same problem until I started using a bath powder after my showers, even if I didn't shave that night, I would still use the powder. Corn starch also works wonders, don't know why it does, I think perhaps it helps get rid of any moisture there and thats what causes a lot of the bumps, heat bumps, your body temperature is actually hotter under your arm pits (remember when they used to take your temperature there). Try it and I hope it works.
Reply:she has sensitive skin but still uses nair?? that crap takes my skin off if i have it on for even 10seconds :(

if you're worried about the bumps, take her to a doctor or to an urgent care facility to be checked out. they might be cysts or an allergy to her deodorant.
Reply:read tips on skincare and home remedies on this site
Reply:USE BABY OIL ON UNDERARMS THEN SHAVE WITH A GOOD RAZOR. USE THE RAZOR BLADE ONLY ONE TIME.bUMPS STILL TAKE HER TO HER DOCTOR.
Reply:Nobody here has the same problem because they did not see your daughter .So please visit a skin specialist.
Reply:Use a new blade each time. A dull razor causes roughly cut and torn hairs that cause ingrown hairs, red bumps and itching. Used razors also harbor bacteria that can cause infections of follicles

Thoroughly clean and rinse the area before you shave

Use the products for black men鈥檚 beards to control red bumps, irritation and ingrown hairs. Treat red bumps and ingrown hairs immediately. Red bumps are infected follicles

someone else also said to try

When you begin to shave your underarms, use a good razor (not an old dull one) and shave UP first. Be sure to be thorough. Then shave down. Then rinse.

Incidently, I tried it for my bikini area also (here shave DOWN first, then up) and it works
Reply:I know a lot of people have their own ways of doing with their own skin...and will suggest what you might could do to help your daughter...if she has sensitive skin she really shouldn't use Nair even on her legs...and I never even thought about using it under the arms...I figured it would burn like crap....I have only used it 3 times in my life...it is so strong....anyhow....my son has many allergies to so many things....and like your daughter he can not wear many kinds of jewelry, not even going to try to list everything...too, too many things...getting his medic alert necklace or braclet was insane the things he was allergic to, to wear it....anyhow you really should take your daughter to a Dermatologist...this is the only way we have got my sons skin allergies under control.....that really is your best bet...Good Luck...

I was thinking, does skin bleach such as 'fair and lovely' work for the under eyes??

would it harm it? can anyone help me here please. thanks loadz. :)
I was thinking, does skin bleach such as 'fair and lovely' work for the under eyes??
The skin under the eyes is thin and very sensitive. It would not be a good idea to bleach an area so close to your eye ball. If dark circles concern you, go for an eye cream that specifically targets them. Avon introduced one recently that is supposed to be phenomenal.
I was thinking, does skin bleach such as 'fair and lovely' work for the under eyes??
NO
Reply:well i would definitly read the instructions on that because it might have bad affects on the eyes. they probably have special skin bleach for the face and eyes.

good luck
Reply:no, the reason your undereyes are dark is b/c your skin is very thin in that area
Reply:Definetly don't put it around your eyes. It could blind you! If you want something to reduce black circles try these:

I got sensitive skin and i was washing my face last ight and under my eye it got red i went to sleep and was?

stilll red how do i reduce the redness with in a hour
I got sensitive skin and i was washing my face last ight and under my eye it got red i went to sleep and was?
Try a tea bag, like one that has been used. Leave it hot and put it on your eye. Or maybe just put ice on your eye
I got sensitive skin and i was washing my face last ight and under my eye it got red i went to sleep and was?
hey i have this cream called ponds and its for dry skin and it reduces redness and all that good stuff.... it really works u should try it.
Reply:I guess u rubbed some microscopic insect under ur eyes and the rashes are the result of the same. U need not worry, just apply an antiseptic cream (preferably Borolene) and it will be all right overnight.
Reply:Put an ice cube on it or if you have time, a spoon in the fridge for 5 minutes and onto the area. If its puffy, put a tea bag in luke warm water, then put it on the area for a few minutes. Afterwards, use a concealer or foundation to put over the area. And if you have sensitive skin, try Arbonne which is formulated for all skin types. Message me for more information. Good luck.
Reply:You need to do two things. You need to re-hydrate the irritated skin but first you need to get rid of the irritation. You've developed an allergy to one of your skin products. You need to apply a mixture of diaper rash cream (try A%26amp;D), calamine lotion, and hydrocortisone. Make a type of mask out of it and put a cool damp compress on top for at least 10 minutes. Rinse off and re-apply the cortisone. The best way to re-hydrate is a hyaluronic acid serum but most people don't have those in their cabinets so try some aloe or a sensitive skin eye cream.

Don't know of any under arm whitening products. have never heard of them in fact.

the best thing to do about the chicken skin as you call it. would be to do some toning exercises.

I love dermadoctor line at sephora, they have very good products for special skin conditions, these are specifically for chicken skin:

Why skin of Chinese people never turn dark although they stay under sun for long?

Maybe because they have a lesser amount of Melanin pigment in their skin which makes them different from others.

Many women have dark circles under their eyes on a regular basis. In fact, 9 out of 10 people have to deal with dark circles under their eyes at one time or another. The condition has been blamed on anything from lack of sleep to the wrong diet. It is actually caused by one of three primary reasons.

Vascular inflammation caused by enlarged blood vessels beneath the thin skin under your eyes. Staying up late and allergies can cause the inflammation.

The bone structure of your face and add shadows under your eyes, making them look even darker then they are. This mostly affects people with deep-set eyes.

The third reason is hyper-pigmentation, a condition that is passed on through genetics.

Let’s take a look at what you can do to get rid of these dark circles under your eyes, or at least “camouflage” them.

Get plenty of rest. I know it sounds very cliché, but you really do need your beauty sleep. Do your best to get at least 7 hours of sleep each night.

Eat well and drink lots of water. Include plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and lean meat. The vitamins and minerals in healthy food will improve your complexion, give you more energy and overall make you feel better. It will show in your eyes as well. Combine this with drinking at least 8 glasses of water and your skin will stay more elastic which helps with the appearance of dark circles in addition to many other skin problems.

Black Tea bags make for a great eye remedy. The black tea will help tighten the skin around your eyes, and it gives the eyes themselves a nice glow. Just brew yourself a cup of black tea and then use the teabag on your eyes. Don’t burn yourself, but put it on there as hot as you can comfortably stand it.

Grate some potato with a cheese grater and put the potato pieces under your eyes. Let them soak in for about 15 minutes, then rinse with plenty of warm water.

When everything else fails, hide your dark circles under some light concealer. Pick a shade just slightly lighter than your makeup. Put some on your index finger and gently tap it under your eyes. Use a sponge to smooth it out. Don’t use your fingers or the concealer stick to rub it in. That will make the circles appear even worse.
Reply:a yellow based concealor hides black bags under eyes
Reply:i have dark circles too.. but i found a miracle concealer that works wonders, its from bobbi brown and it's called the creamy concealer/corrector. ask the makeup lady at the counter to teach you how to use it. g'luck :) (no i dont work with bobbi brown, just love their makeup!)
Reply:Dermablend. It's the only product I've ever seen cover birth marks, dark circles around the eyes, even hide skin pigment problems caused by disease or burns. It really works. I have used it for about twenty years now, and I will never use anything else. Consultants at the make up counter can show you how to use it and guide you to the correct color for you. FYI: I don't use the sealing powder, though, it exaggerated the smile lines. If you blend it well and keep it light, the powder really isn't needed.
Reply:I know of white concealors that are extremely effective. U apply them under ur eyelines. I would recommend them from any beauty shop. They are good and affordable.
Reply:hey...plz contact me immediately....
Reply:well the easiest way to hide dark circles under your eyes it to get coverup stick in a shade that is about 2 shades lighter than you would normally use. Apply gently under your eyes and blend with powder in your shade. The trick is not to overdo it with the coverup just to lighten the area's that you do not want to be seen. Also try not to apply to much eyeliner or mascara to the bottom lashes as it will create a heavy undereye area.
Reply:I was wondering about that. Most of arab or indian that i see have dark under eye circles why is that? Well get a concealer a shade lighter than your foundation and dab under eyes and then your foundation right over it. also use an eye cream this one I use it twice a day and in 16 days dark circles are gone and in 24 hours puffiness are gone.

Reply:kk i only have 1 word 4 u..........CONCEALER it works 4 every1. get a concealer a few shades lighter then ur skin tone and smear it under ur eyes before putting on makeup, this WILL HIDE THE DARK CIRCLES!!!:)
Reply:cucumbers cool and sooth, puffy circles under eyes, simply cut in to 1/8 inch slices and place on eyes while you relax if that doesn't work cover-girl makes under eye concealer for all colors or skin
Reply:I believe there are now cures for under eye circles, In which I also have, but with the proper applications of concealers, people and even yourself will not even know they are there. Here is what you do.....for circles, try the yellow based concealer, just dab a little on and with your ring finger blend, reason for using the ring finger is because it is your most delicate finger and won't use pressure. Then using a concealer closest to you shade, dab over the circles then apply any other make up products you are intending to use. As for me I use no foundation as it is not good for the skin. Try to stay away from it if you can.

Try this....conceal eyes, add just a little powder and blush, play up your eyes add a little lip stick. That's all you need. Good luck.
Reply:maybe you should stop letting your boyfriend hit you
Reply:You need to get a darker colored undereye cream. I would go to a make up counter like este lauder or clinique and they'll match it up perfectly. Then just aplly a powder all over your face. That should help.
Reply:I use a concealer under my powder...also a good multi-vitamin and lots of water!

Restylane Fillers for Under Eye Dark Circles, do they really work on brown skin?

they are dangerous.. though..

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Does anybody know if that skin care for men is good for keeping acne under control.?

Clinque makes some good stuff.
Does anybody know if that skin care for men is good for keeping acne under control.?
Acne is a lot about age, genetics, diet and hygeine.

Better than any skincare regime is a balanced, healthy diet (no sugar, white flour, hydrogenated oil, easy on the fats and red meats - NO FAST FOOD - I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH), lots of water (no soda, limited juice), take a good multivitamin, wash your face twice a day with warm water and a good quality soap or cleanser (no moisturizing or deoderant soaps, I don't like glycerin soaps - nothing that leaves a deposit on your skin) rinse really really really well and follow with a cold rinse. Keep your hair and bedding, especially your pillowcasing, clean. Remember that anything on your hair, including hair products, gets onto your pillow and onto your face. Avoid touching your face because your hands are covered with bacteria and never pick at your face.

Getting older will take care of the rest.
Does anybody know if that skin care for men is good for keeping acne under control.?
Most popular cosmetic lines make skin care for men. Try Clinique, Estee Lauder, Lancome, etc. See what they have to offer. Also, you could try Neutrogena. They are less expensive, can buy the stuff at Walmart, and have a whole line which is directed at acne control. It usually won't rip your skin up after the use of the product.

I am looking for a foundation which has great coverage for not so perfect skin. Can anyone help??

I have just started to get lots of acne spots which are under skin and irritating, and i am finding myself forever itching them which is leaving my skin all red and horrible. It is my christmas night out in 2 weeks and need a good make up base.
I am looking for a foundation which has great coverage for not so perfect skin. Can anyone help??
I'm in love with Loreal Infallible. It's pretty inexpensive, covers smoothly without drying skin out or looking caking or oily (I have combination skin) and comes with a nice pump. I also found the colour to match perfectly. I wouldn't use another kind again! I love it.

Reply:I've had acne for years, and found that Mac makeup works really well. Go to a mac store and have them find the right colors for you. Use a concealer as a base, then my favorite is their studio fix compact w/firm powder. use concealer to cover redness, and just a little studio fix powder to make the color realistic. it worked for me! :)
Reply:I have been having the same problems! Try anything that is oil-free, I am currently using Neutogenia Visibly Even and it seems to work pretty good.

Also, use a oil-free face lotion and I recommend using Biore Pore Unclogging facewash (it's light green with gentle mircobeads and works wonders!) Good Luck!
Reply:my sister uses loreal true match
Reply:I wear Mac makeup, and their foundations are excellent! I have been using this product for about 5-6 years. I use their liquid foundation, concealer, and pressed powder. All three work wonders for my face (which has cleared up a great deal from acne scars, but still has problems with the scars that won't go away).

If you are concerned about the makeup matching your skintone, then you can have one of the makeup experts @ MAC (usually found within department stores, such as Dillards or Macys) sit and work with you on the shade and textures that best compliment your skin type.

My only caveat about MAC, though, is the price: the foundation price just increased to about $32. If you are able and willing to spend a bit more for your foundation, then I strongly recommend MAC.

My mom used and loved MAC, but she disliked their high prices. She did a bit of comparative shopping, and found an excellent (and much cheaper) foundation with CoverGirl makeup :)
Reply:Marcelle is a good one for sesitive skin and so is Physicians formula. For major coverage-Dermablend is the one to use. It covers anything.
Reply:well it kinda depends on your skin tone try going some where and trying some on
Reply:Well.....you should definitely not use liquids or creams with oil in them, will just make more acne.

I use mineral foundation from LAminerals. com. It's really good and the ingredients are good for your skin.

Maybe you should try a sample first like I did.

Hi autum and summer are both warm tones I would say that you are more of a winter. Try the deeper bolder colors such as black, true white, navy, deep greens true red with out the orange undertones if these work then you are winter. you can also wear light blues and fusha but no baby blues or pinks. let me know how this works for you.

Retin-A Micro made my face peel off and break out for three months now. ORGANIC FOR MY SENSITIVE SKIN?

I've been using Retin-A Micro for three months now. I have red, extremely dry, taught skin. I've been waiting for this stuff to clear up everything because you're suppose to breakout bad before it starts to work. I have more zits than before I started to use it! On top of that, like I said, my skin is red and very, very dry. I didn't even have that bad of acne before I started using this crap to be honest. I had little pimples under skin around my chin area that were only visible if I stretched my skin a certain way. I would get a couple pimples on my chin once in a while too. I need help! My face actually hurts right now. It's so irritated by all these chemicals. Would organic help my sensitive, acne-prone skin?
Retin-A Micro made my face peel off and break out for three months now. ORGANIC FOR MY SENSITIVE SKIN?
Wow....enough is enough...Get a bottle of extra virgin organic olive oil...apply on your entire body after sitting in a bath of sea salt...with a nice fresh cotton wash cloth or sponge...do not RUB your skin with the cloth just lay it on your face softly. Then after you have taken your bath, apply the olive oil on your face. If this seems too oily for you try extra virgin Coconut Oil_ source naturals is the best....and apply it all over your body...wiping the excess off after you have let it meld into your body. This will relieve the dryness and exterior inflammation. You may be very sensitive to the Retin-A products and need to take a look at interior solutions such as taking a good one a day multi vitamin mineral with C0Q10 and a Zinc sublingual.....look for Solaray products and Source Natural as they are really good supplements. It might be a good idea to stop any treatments that cause your skin to be overwhelmed. So no hot water on the face....only luke warm....and zits are warning signs of inner trauma. Drink a lot of water and look at the actual pH of your body in the morning right before you void your bladder with pH strips...

and see if you are acidic or alkaline...or somewhere in the midst of the mix. IT is a sure thing that if your test show that you are acidic that your skin will be irritated becuase it is getting rid of toxins. The very very best way to make your skin smooth and clear is to make sure that you have detoxed your body...via a load of good water and non acidic foods...(look at the ph miracle~ r.o. young).

The Market is full of so called miracles that are not only painful to do but in the long term are harmful to your entire body...so you are correct to ask what ORGANIC is....

Here is to your better being and your better less painful way to beauty!

Go to an eye doctor to get it looked at. I had the same thing and as paiful as it was to do it, I tried to pop it. I woke up the next morning with my eye swollen shut. Come to find out it was a cyst and I caused a horrible infection when I did that. It can be treated much easier if you don't go about it the wrong way like I did. lol Good luck!

that sounds like a cyst of some sort it is much like a pimple but go to a doctor to make sure because you will need to flush the eye as well after wards to prevent infection

How long can one stay out under the sun before getting any damage to the skin(eg sun burn)?

Depends on your skin type.

If you are fair skinned especially - as soon as you step into the sun the U.V rays are burning you.

always wear a sunblock and remember to rea-apply it every 2 hours and don't forget your hands, ears, neck and chest if your wearing a V-neck etc.
How long can one stay out under the sun before getting any damage to the skin(eg sun burn)?
That depends on their skin type and how close they live to the equator.
How long can one stay out under the sun before getting any damage to the skin(eg sun burn)?
From what I hear anytime in the sun can cause damage. You should always wear sunscreen if you plan to be outside - even driving. It's a cumulative effect, which means it all adds up.
Reply:it really depends on your skin pigment, if you put sunscreen on, and if you have sensitive skin.
Reply:Your skin can be damaged long before you get a sunburn. It can add up over time. A few minutes a day will give you the vitamin D you need. Be sure to use sunscreen, wear sunglasses and some type of hat if you have to be out for any length of time. This includes bright sunny winter days too. I have had two skin cancers removed from my face, and it leaves scars. Best wishes
Reply:Any coloring of the skin (pink color, for example in those with fair skin) indicates vasodilation - a response to cellular damage. The time dosage of sunlight to create this minimal erythral dose varies with time of day, angle of the sun, elevation, etc.

Can cardiac pacemaker wires migrate through skin over time?

My five year old had his third pacemaker fitted in nov 2007.He has been unwell with bad cough and vomiting for last two wks and his pacemaker wires are now visable under skin!!!!Has anyone else had this happen?Off to hosp again on friday.
Can cardiac pacemaker wires migrate through skin over time?
Yes, pacemaker wires can come through the skin. It is uncommon but it can happen. However the wire is normally repositioned as it becomes visable under the skin, before it actually pokes through. Lead repositions are much quicker in terms of procedure length than the actual time it took to fit the pacemaker to start with. Our patients that have had a lead come thru the skin (a very very small amount) usually have a dose of antibiotics which clears up any potential infection. I am sorry that your son is unwell. I hope he gets better soon.
Can cardiac pacemaker wires migrate through skin over time?
i have never heard of this but then again i'am no doctor (heaven forbid) i hope things go well with your son but in the mean time why not either phone his consultant or your gp.gd luck best wishes :)
Reply:I don't know for sure, it not happens to my friend but its better to consult your doctor.
Reply:you should call his specialist of GP.
Reply:Sounds like he's lost a lot of weight. have seen this in patients that have lad drastic weight loss.

If you are concerned then consult the surgery
Reply:Cardiac pace maker wire can migrate but can be easily fixed by your doctor. May God bless your child.
Reply:I don't know about the wires coming through skin but I know they can move, which usually means you need to have it reset. So I suppose if it can move the wires could too. Get it seen to, it doesn't sound like something you should be taking chances with. Go to the doctor, or phone your consultant but do something.
Reply:I'VE SEEN MANY PACE MAKERS, IN CHESTS. BUT NEVER WIRES (OTHER THAN DIRECTILY AFTER SURGERY). THAT DOESN'T APPLY HERE. KEEP US POSTED ON HOW IT GOES. GOD BLESS
Reply:The problem from being able to "see"the wires under the skin may be due to his being so frail and sick, and most likely loosing some weight and belly fat.I wish both of you all the best.Take care. SW RNP

How the skin color of a human body changes to black under sunlight?

under the exposure of sunlight, the skin produces melanin-a pigment. The more melanin you have, the darker your skin tone will be.Also, continuous studies and researches have shown that darker skin tone are more resistant towards development of skin cancer.
How the skin color of a human body changes to black under sunlight?
Melanin production increases in response to sunlight to help protect the skin from UV damage.

I used "Acne Free" and my skin got worse and itchy. Is this normal?

(this was also posted under Skin Conditions-- I just wanted to ask a wider variety of answerers) I didn't have problems with acne until I graduated college last year. I am 23. The acne isn't severe, but I still want to treat it. I regularly use Clearsil Ultra Scrub twice a day. I saw the "Acne Free" products at the store and researched it a little. I got more breakouts the day I started using it. It itched like crazy! I had a big social event coming up so I switched back to the Clearasil. Are the worsening acne and itching part of the regular healing process? Has anyone else had experience with this product line? Any recommendations for a 23 year old female with mild to medium acne?
I used "Acne Free" and my skin got worse and itchy. Is this normal?
i used it a year ago and the same happened to me......i just stopped using it and everything went ok

the problem is that it has a lot of side effects related to skin exposure to the sun or stuff like that......just avoid it and try a safe medical soap(i use sinobar now myself and my acne has gone totaly)

my daily routine is steaming, washing with my medical soap then moisturizing......ONLY TWO TIMES A DAY

in addition to healthy food, working out(but avoid sweating heavily)stay away from the sun too......hmmm.....and reduce makeup products on your skin......good luck ,i know how annoying it is........just be patient ,it took me 3 month to get rid of my acne COMPLETELY
I used "Acne Free" and my skin got worse and itchy. Is this normal?
I'm not an expert but that doesn't sound good. It sounds like you might have had an allergic reaction to an ingredient in that product. I would definitely discontinue the use.

I like Neutrogena products. I started washing my face with Cetaphil (it is recommended by dermatologists) and I have noticed a huge difference. It is a very gentle cleanser. With my adult acne, my skin does better with less products. I got great results when I used Prescriptives products. They are expensive so I went back to Neutrogena. Now I'm using Juice Beauty products (blemish %26amp; redness reducing serum) and I'm satisfied with the results. My skin is very tough because most products cause me to have break outs.

I just thought of something, my skin gets itchy and one thing I notice is if I don't get all of the soap off my skin then it itches. Make sure that you aren't leaving a residue behind. Rinse thoroughly. That could be a factor.
Reply:No, it's not normal. Don't trust big brand acne products. Switch to gentler cleasners and lotions. The AcneFree is irritating your skin and is causing you to break out.
Reply:same thing happened to me. it dried my skin too much and using a good moisturiser after didn't help much either. i switched to proactiv but i only use the renewing cleanser and not the whole line of products. its less drying i guess because its not "soapy" like other products. i follow up with olay definity deep penetrating foaming moisturiser, even though its for "anti-aging" its the best lotion i've used and it keeps my skin less oily throughout the day. I believe the foam makes the lotion lighter on my face too. I have had pretty bad acne before and still have scarring from it. This works for me so far even on hot days. hope this helps you :) its so hard finding good products to use on your face especailly when new "improved" ones come out everyday. goodluck!

Ladies only, what can i use for dry skin on my face, and for the bags under my eyes?

Visage face moisturizer by Nivea, very nice and light. Bags are caused by swelling, get sleep, use cold compresses under the eyes and stay away from heavy makeup removers like vaseline.

As for the bags under your eyes, (I know this sounds crazy but) the best thing to reduce the bags under your eyes is to carefully apply a dab a small amount of Preparation H. Yes, for hemmorids. What chemicals are present in a banana skin?

The bbc web site recommends using the inside of a banana skin to cure a verruca, but it gives no basis for this. I asked this question under "skin conditions" but didn't get an answer which satisfied me.

Is there a chemist in the house who could give me a scientific basis for the bbc's suggestion? Is there a chemical present in the inside of a banana skin that could react with a verruca?

Or is this just an old wives' tale. I'd love to know.

or biore blackhead removing strips work really well for me when i get a blackhead....

just cut the strip to the size you need, wet that part of your face realy well, and leave it on for twenty minutes, then slowly peel it off...it should look like a porquie pine.which is gross but it does the job.

Go see a dermatologist. Most likely they will pop and remove the bacteria and then perscribe you a cream or pill to use to make sure this doesn't happen again.

If it looks like a pimple that may be infected, it might be a staph infection, which can be serious if not treated. my son has had several in the last year. definitely go see your doctor

If i quit smoking will the dark circles under my eyes go away, and will my skin look younger?

Nope. You officially screwed yourself over for the rest of your life. No turning back. Your skin may not look younger but wont wrinkle as much as it does now. Try it though. Eyes may look better after some weeks/months.
If i quit smoking will the dark circles under my eyes go away, and will my skin look younger?
Probably, in time. Not straight away.

If you have dark circles under your eyes you might not be getting enough sleep.

Dark circles I'm not sure about, but people's skin does look older due to smoking.
Reply:you've probibly already done a number to yourself. But, If you quit, you will age slower and it will help your eyes.
Reply:it may take longer time the dark circle under your eyes go away. if you go straight enough sleep might not take long the dark circles under your eyes disappear and your skin will look younger if you stop smoking. also, eat balance diet like go straight on vegetables, enough water and milk.

becareful quitting smoking can be hazardous to your health
Reply:Hello There,

I personally think that "if" you get to quit smoking, you will look and feel younger and have more energy as well.

My wife smoked for over 10 years and when she found out that she was pregnant with our now newborn 3 months old daughter, she had promised me that if I found a good solution for quitting, she will try her best to kick the habit.

Well in my spare time I started researching online for quit smoking programs, meanwhile she was trying out patches and gums that you can buy at grocery stores and adventually they would not work for her.

After about a week of researching I had stumbled over a website that really impressed me on what they had to offer and that they actually say that they can almost guarantee your success, and most importantly that you can try it out for free.

The company has been around for over 20 years now and they have helped over a million smokers quit since and their kit has everything that you possibly need to help you quit smoking, I thought WoW that is impressive.

I went ahead and ordered the free trial for my wife (only paid for shipping) and she has quit smoking in just two weeks and she doesn't want to hear about or smell another cigarette again in her life :)

Now it is up to you, but since my wife has quit, I was so happy about her success, so much so that I had built a small review site of the product to also help other people quit, you can check it out at; http://time2quitnow.com if you want to find out more.

Thanks for reading my short story, I hope it helps, good luck and stay healthy.

Then just rinse it off. Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

What do you do with a blister under a callus, that has been popped and skin cut away. There was no drainage?

i put triple antibacterial cream on it and put a bandaid on it but at night take it off so it can dry up.

My skin is dry and i've black circle under eye. plz tell me the solution.?

Okay... ur skin is dry because of less secretion by the oil glands of ur skin. Use daily moisturising cream. And for dark circles.. dont listen to people when they suggess you to sleep.. I wont work..I have dark circles and i sleep 9 hours.. it wont work... Take a cucumber and cut two slim chips of it (itz 4 ur eyez) Freeze it.. it should be very cold when u keep it under ur eyez. Do not dip in water.. The proteins might dissolve in water!!! freeze it!! keep it under ur eyez.. do this every day then see a change.. GOOD LUCK!!!
My skin is dry and i've black circle under eye. plz tell me the solution.?
DRY SKIN

1) Exfoliate! When you are in the shower, use a gentle scrubber (or an exfoliating, and in your case a moisturizing, facial scrub) on your face. This will help remove the layers of dry skin on top. Then pick out a good (preferably oil free or very low oil) moisturizer. I get mine from Korea, so I can't tell you any really good ones lol. Keep doing this everyday, and your face wont be dry anymore!

DARK CIRCLES

1) GET SOME SLEEP! You get this bagging because of a lack of sleep! What also helps is fresh slices of cucumber on the bags (this is actually good for moisturizing skin as well). Put slices of cucumber (thin ones) all over your face. Let them sit there until they're dried out. Then rinse your face and put some moisturizer on.

If you want to CONCEAL the bags, use a concealer that is a little lighter than your skin tone. Use your RING finger to spread out evenly and finish of with a full face sweep with a light powder (your skin tone).

use a good moisteriser especially for your skin (try good brands )

and make sure you use a good foundation and conceler
Reply:just used a moisturizer for your dry skin...if you have sensitive skin used an hypo-allergenic moisturizer ...hhmm about your dark eyes i think you should get at least 8 hours of sleep a day that's the best remedy ....
Reply:See your doctor and have your thyroid checked. You could be lacking in iron or other vitamins or minerals. You are what you eat so eat more fruits and veggies. Get at least 8 hours of sleep. Don't smoke. Smoking dries your skin out faster than anything.
Reply:for dry skin---

1) scrub your body and then apply olive oil+sesame oil and massage it all over for about 1/2 hour and take a steam for 15mins. for the face, just before sleeping apply virgin coconut milk. do this for about 2 months it surely works.

for under eye circle----

1)paste the almonds and apply it around the eyes and massage for 15mins i am sure dark circles will visibly reduce, for sure.

Why are my elbows, knees, and under neath my buttocks are darker than my skin complexion? How do i remove them?
It's dead skin that has builded up over time that wasn't able to drop off the skin because it was trapped in the wrinkles of those areas. Try getting a exfoliater with salt to just scrub everyday, eventually it will lighten up.

GET BLEACHING CREAM
Reply:I have seen a skin lightening cream for african american skin tones at Target in the skin care isle. Hope it helps!
Reply:The skin in these areas is thicker, and usually gets a bit more "wear and tear". You can try exfoliating these areas with a pumice stone, or loofa.

You can also try tanning the rest of your skin. This is what I do. Try putting lotion on those area that are darker. 10 -15 minutes later, use Jergens Natural Glow on the rest of your body. Do this once every day or every other day. You will start to see these areas blend in with the rest of your body.
Reply:Funny how some people are worried about being too dark.
Reply:Vitamin K cream will help. It works slower than Bleach but safer if you are not taking blood thinners. I would exfoliate the area with a body polish or salt scrub. Be careful applying the Vit K cream right after this exfoliating.
Reply:go to sauna bath

If you dont know the reason for these problems maybe you should get a blood test and mot from your gp to make sure your not ill. In the mean time, improving your diet (fresh fruit, veg etc) no smoking, limit alcohol consumption and increase exercise could all help improve these symptoms. If your doing all these things go and get a make over at your local department store.Good luck.

My Skin on my face has dry flaky patches under my lips. I am not sure how to make it go away.?
Actually your skin is oily. that's a reaction.

Get a good gentle cleanser for sensitive skin, use a toner and blot it with oil tissues when you sweat. No oil based makeups. Moisturize a clean face at nighttime. SPF is very important, yet be careful, some of us are allergic to it.

If it continues. Go see a doctor...ITS YOUR FACE! Be sweet to it!

Your lips are probably dry because you lick your lips alot and the wind hits them when they are wet it causes chapped lips. Get some Chap stick and it should help.

Solve my skin mystery: Fuzzy solid foreign-like unidentifiable object coming out of my healed pimple.?

This question can be under skin problem category or under abnormal mystery:

This happened to me twice (once in last fall, once now).

The skin on my back felt itchy (just a tiny little bit, barely noticeable) and so I reached to scratch. I felt some foreign object (rice grain size) and yet it was attached to my skin! I peeled it off easily and looked at it: it was hard, solid, the outside coat was fuzzy and yellowish, I try to dissect it and the inside is hard and black (with wax-like texture). I asked my sister to look at my back, she said all she saw was a healed pimple with an opening that shows the black stuff inside of it. Problem is pimple is small, that weird stuff is huge.

Disclaimer: I rarely have any breakouts on my back, and my skin is clean, soft, and pretty, which makes this even more bizzare.

I had an absolutely horrifying nightmare lastnight; evil spirit-driven experience that waslogical and close to real life.

I am open to all possibillity and explanation, thank

Not an evil spirit or alien implant, rest easy.

This sounds like a pore issue related to acne. Sounds like a buildup of material inside the pore that works it's way out. I've had something like this, only a couple of times. If you are really worried about it describe it to your doctor or take photos to show them next time it happens.

For application of concealers I agree that you must use the same color as your skin. Be sure to use a bit of foundation to blend the uneven tone. I also recommend using a under eye cream with Vitamin C.
Reply:Well, first off you need to start using an eye cream...something using green tea extract in it. Then use a concealer to cover it up until it gets refresh!

I suggest Mary Kay Indulgence Eye Cream %26amp; A Facial Highlighting Pen (Concealer). These two products really helped out my dark under eye mess!
Reply:I have exactly the same thing- really dark circles under my eyes!!

Benefit have a pack called the realness of concealness which sorts it out perfectly. It has an industrial strengh concealer called bo-ing in it and then a tube called Ooh La Lift. It has camomile in it and its light reflecting. put it under your eyes over the concealer and the bags disapear!(the pack also has high beam and lip plumper in it which are fab but i dont use them everyday)

Sorry to sound like an advertisement but the pack is so small it fits in your handbag and takes 2 minutes to do every day- i do mine on the tube to work! Plus its reasonably priced- 拢22. (not sure what that is in euros/dollars) hope this helps!!

They just came out with this new product called TimeWise Even Complexion Essence which is used to even out your natural skin tone and give it a healthy glow. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and it's great!!! A little expensive ($35), but I think it's definitely worth it!!

How can you get rid of extremely dry skin right next to your eye and under your eye.?

NO answers like Vaseline, it doesn't work!
How can you get rid of extremely dry skin right next to your eye and under your eye.?
If it's been there for awhile I'd go see a dermatologist. The skin under your eye is very sensitive. Sometimes putting tons of products can acutally will make it worse (no matter where it is) so you could try doing nothing for awhile see if it clears up on it's on. I wouldn't exfolilate.
How can you get rid of extremely dry skin right next to your eye and under your eye.?
Get a lotion or cream made for around they eyes. Avoid wearing make up/ washing your eyes until it clears. Also if you use acne products near that area that could be what is causing it in the first place. Avon sells this really good eye cream, its kinda pricy but it works.
Reply:I would try some exfoliation ,,, you have to get rid of the yuck before you can treat the underlying skin.
Reply:Yogurt-honey combination helps dry skin. Make an egg pack with a yolk, a teaspoon of honey, a tablespoon of milk powder. This is beneficial to dry skin types. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at http://useinfo-dryskin.blogspot.com/
Reply:eye lotion. proactive is what i use.
Reply:Dry skin problems respond well to self-care measures, such as using moisturizers and avoiding long, hot showers and baths. If you have very dry and scaly skin, your doctor may recommend you use an over-the-counter cream that contains lactic acid or lactic acid and urea.

In a more serious skin disease, such as ichthyosis or psoriasis, your doctor may prescribe prescription creams and ointments or other treatments in addition to home care.

Dry skin leads to dermatitis, which causes red, itchy skin. In these cases, treatment may include hydrocortisone-containing lotions. If your skin cracks open, your doctor may prescribe wet dressings with mildly astringent properties to contract your skin and reduce secretions and prevent infection.

I was working under a big hot sun daily, cos my skin darken %26amp; dry. can anyone spare me a solution? Thanks!?
I've found the BEST solution to dry skin and you can use it all over your body.....When you get out of the shower - DON'T dry off, just kinda drip in the shower for a minute.....put some BABY OIL GEL (local Wal-Mart or somewhere) on and let it dry (about 3 minutes). You won't feel sticky like you think, and your skin will feel really, really soft after!! Hope this helps!! 鈾?br>I was working under a big hot sun daily, cos my skin darken %26amp; dry. can anyone spare me a solution? Thanks!?
exfoliate your skin (with steam) once a week only once to remove the dry skin, apply you moisturisor morning, and in the evenings and be sure to wash your moisturisor from the evening off in the morning, apply your moisturisor with a spf - very important under neath your foundation(base) to prevent it from getting dryer when you sweat. when you sweat the moisturisor will go into your pores instead of the dirt/ dryness gud luck

if you are working in the sun, try some of the suntan oils that they have out.

What is under your lips? Is it just like your skin?
Fat is under your lips. Some people with thinner lips have less fat in their lip region than others with fuller lips.

Does loose skin go away if you're young? (under 20)?

say you were overweight for 10 years and u lose 50 lbs in 4 months, does it go away with time??
Does loose skin go away if you're young? (under 20)?
You can do things to firm up your skin but if it's really just skin, it's hard to get rid of. Keep exercising and use a firming lotion (pref. one with copper) on your skin to tone it up.
Does loose skin go away if you're young? (under 20)?
it probably will, but there is no way to really know. just wait and see
Reply:i was under 20 and had loose skin so i gusse not
Reply:No. Rapid weight loss or major weight loss (without exercise) causes fat beneath the cutaneous layer of the skin to dissipate, but the "stretching" that occurred to accomodate that fat causes the sagging, excess skin. Unfortunately, it will need to be removed via many surgical and cosmetic surgical procedures. True, skin is more supple at your age, but the years of obesity and the skin being stretched for so long removes that suppleness. If you have had gastric bypass surgery, this should have been discussed pre-operatively. You need to make an appt with your physician to obtain a referral. Good luck
Reply:ya i would think so, but everyones body is different
Reply:I support Debbie's answer. Remember that if surgery becomes the route you want to take, please shop the procedure and take advantage of consumerism to get the best buy. Did I spell consumerism correctly?

My skin is very greasy and weird looking under the lights at school, I need home remedies for nice skin?

Wash your face with baking soda and honey mix. For extra help twice a week put either tomato or lemon juice on face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. You can also wash you face with egg whites if you dont have baking soda and honey.

How does your skin look in natural light? More than likely, it's the lighting at the school, not your skin.

But make sure not to use any makeup that is old (look on the side of the container it will say good for so many months), or has oil in it. Keep a bunch of tissues with you so you can wipe oil off your face.

Wash your face at least twice a day and at night put on just a little face moisturizer.

If that doesn't help you may need to go get some clearacil , or oil fighting face wash. If your using some sort of acne fighting face cream already, make sure to use it sparingly.

Find a foundation that is slighty darker than your skin even it out along your face and that should cover up your racoon eyes.
Reply:use foundations when you go out, wash your face w/ cleanser, then tone, and then make sure to moisturize. as for the bags under your eyes, after using the moisturizer, put on some eye cream, and then when you go out, put on some consealers just around your eyes to make them look nice and fresh!

What is the lump under my 8 week old puppy's skin?

If in doubt please contact your vet.Lancing a lump under the skin, without knowing for sure what it is could lead to problems.
What is the lump under my 8 week old puppy's skin?
If it is between the shoulders it might be from a shot. After you give a hot you are supposed to rub it in. Some dont take the time to do that. It will go away in a couple days if thats what it is.
What is the lump under my 8 week old puppy's skin?
"EXCELLENTIMIS" answer is right on-- And, it could be an accumulation of excess--wait a couple of days to see if it dissipates. If not then you could lance it or simply prick it with a needle that you've disinfected( with fire or peroxide. Then take a glass bottle ie; coke bottle. boil it in water, cool the neck a bit and apply the mouth of the bottle to the "lump'--the heated bottle will act as a vacume and will gently draw the puss into the blttle with no discomfort to your friend.
Reply:alot of time it's a small cyst. Im almost 100% sure that it's probably nothing to worry about. It's just a slight inperfection that may or may not go away. It's probably just filled with fluid. I would go to a vet just in case.

How to remove the under eye black circles, and make your skin glow?

How to remove the under eye black circles, and make your skin glow?
use vitamin E cream at night for glowing skin. For dark eye circles, use hemorrhoid cream...It really does work!!
How to remove the under eye black circles, and make your skin glow?
do this :

Boil some water and place 2 tea bags inside. Take out tea bags, allow them to cool. Lay back and place tea bags over the eyes (close eyes first - one on each eye) for about 15 minutes. This will ease black circles under your eyes caused by lack of sleep.

Grate about half a peeled potato and apply under your eyes for about 15 minutes. This really works!!

Cut a slice of potato about 2-3 mm thick. Using a headband or a piece of cloth, wrap the potato around your eyes and leave for about 20-30 minutes.

Putting a spoon in the freezer for 15 minutes and then putting it under each of your eyes for about 5 minutes each (after you have washed your face or at least splashed it with warm water) will make dark circles less noticeable.

Can an infant currently under medication w/ anti-tb for 2 mos now, be accurately tested via skin test?

our baby's (1y/o) 1st pedia diagnosed him having PM by looking at his xray result alone and prescribed the anti-tb kit. after 2 months we consulted a pediatric pulmonary specialist, due to persistent coughing, who conducted a skin test w/c resulted negative and ordered us to discontinue his medication. His 1st pediatrician reasoned that it would give a false negative because our baby has already started his medication.we are greatly confused 2 different views, from a pediatrician and a pediatrician-pulmonary specialist.who do we believe? pls advice anyone!tnx
Can an infant currently under medication w/ anti-tb for 2 mos now, be accurately tested via skin test?
For my money, I'd go with the pediatric pulmonary specialist since it is his area of expertise. A TB skin test would be more likely to be false positive than false negative because you are testing for antibodies to TB. Either you have them or you don't. While a pediatrician is excellent for the day to day ailments and routine care, there are certainly gaps when it comes to the more complicated issues- which is why there are specialists. I'd stick with the pulmonary specialist, because he's seen a lot more of this than a pediatrician would have, and have more experience with it. Diagnosing TB in an infant takes more than a peek at one x-ray, and recognizing it when you see it takes practice. If it were my child, I'd go with the specialist.

Can you recommend a face cream for oily skin(with few dry patches) for under 拢10?

I can reccomend 2 for under 拢5.

Reply:try using teatrea oil..... it really nourishes the skin and gets rid of grease.

dont use anything to harsh on your skin (i.e. clearasil) because you have dry patches too, this will just irritate.

creams might just add to the oily skin so they are no-go too.

Reply:Ive alway used Oil of Olay, it does what it says on the packet and is good for sensitive skins.

Aslo use distilled Witch Hazel as a toner if you have oily skin. It is astringent and lightly anti septic. It helps balance the skin mantle and shrinks the pores.

Reply:Yes go for Oil of Olay Active Hydrogel. Its fantastic. Its water-based so totally non-greasy and leaves a lovely translucent, powdery feel behind which is unusual as it is a gel. Rub deep into the skin, using sparingly. It will moisturise the dermis beautifully while not being greasy. Patt dry with some face tissue to remove any shine. This product is excellent and lasts. You can buy it at Boots or Superdrugs. I have been buying it for years and swear but it.

Hi I have a small quaker parrot and she has been chewing into her skins under the wings and neck any sugestion

she is approximately 7 years old. Come from a bad home but is ok. However she has been chewing and plucking her feathers so much that at the pit under her wings the bone is visible and although it is not bleeding profusely you can still see the blood. Also just noticed today that under her neck she has a really bad spot much worse than the wings... We haven't had her long and are really just getting to where she lets us move her around comfortably to find and look at these spots any ideas to make her stop plucking her feathers. We think her skin is just dry is there anything that we can use to make her not want to pluck anymore and give the wounds time to heal. Thank you for all your help, Trey
Hi I have a small quaker parrot and she has been chewing into her skins under the wings and neck any sugestion
There are four possibilities: Behavioral Plucking, the most common reason, can be remedied with a lot of intervention. This involves out-of-cage time, a varied and balanced diet, a lot of socialization, and plenty of toys. One-on-one time is one of the best things you can do for your new friend.

A less common answer is giardiasis, an intestinal protozoan parasite that causes pruritis (severe itching of the undamaged skin). A great toy/treat is willow twigs which contain lignine, an amino acid that inhibits plucking. Make certain the bird has occasional baths and plenty of time to dry completely in a warm place.

One more avenue to explore is maturity. The onset of sexual maturity (even in the most secure bird) can result in sexual frustration due to hormone flux. If this is the case, interrupt the plucking so it does not become a bad behavioral habit.

Mites is the fourth possibility. These are easy to control and eradicate. Limit your bird's access to other birds. Allow a lot of baths. Keep the cage and nest area very clean. If you keep it pristine, you will keep your bird Deranyssus gallinae- free. (I put this possibility last because it is least likely.)
Hi I have a small quaker parrot and she has been chewing into her skins under the wings and neck any sugestion
Well, it sounds like the bird has mites and/or a behavioral problem. I reccomend finding a qualified veterinarian as soon as humanly possible to try and treat this problem before it gets even worse. Try and keep her in a quiet place for now, but pay attention to her and try to keep her busy and her mind off of plucking. Also something like music or tv might help distract her. Feathered Phonics is a good thing too, teaches birds to talk. Also birdchannel.com may help or the magazine BIRDTALK could help. Contact me if you have any more questions.
Reply:This is an urgent situation. Email me at my photo and we can talk more. I have Quakers.

First how long have you had her? Do you have other birds? This is likely nutritional. With the skin broken and a bone showing you need to get some providone iodine solution from WalMart and dab it on the wound. Buy some cod liver oil capsules and snip one open and spread over whatever she eats. She needs to be eating lots of broccoli, carrots, scrambled egg, etc, to regain her health.

Some here will say Take Her to A VET. You can spend a couple hundred dollars there on tests, etc, that will likely not help at all. Also get a cuttle bone and scrape it onto her food to give her some calcium. You can introduce a warm mist of water to her. If she is fearful just one or two

This dear bird is not okay but with good care and good food

she will be a wonderful companion to you for many years.
Reply:Birds who pluck under the wings and around the neck and vent could have giardia. My lory has had it and treated of it. The problem is testing for it. It dosen't show up in tests that well. You need a three day test. You can look on line buy typing in Giardia bird test kit. A vet tests a quick one and misses more than finds it because the germ dosen't show in every poop sample. There are also other germs that can do this. But mites are rare unless the bird is kept outside.
Reply:I have a Quaker (also and African Grey and a Parakeet) she plucks her feathers out. Took her to the Vet and he said they (this species of bird) pluck for many reasons. Boredom, jealousy (they are very territorial) smoke, etc. He suggested that I either make (or buy from him) a cone. Just like what they put on dogs. I made hers out of the plastic from a milk carton. It really does keep her from plucking. You do have to pay attention to the bird to find the cause. They get stressed out just like people and do crazy things. Because the bird has hurt itself, you really do need to take it to the vet! They can die if not treated!
Reply:The first thing you should do is to take her to a good avian veterinarian. Call the vets in your area and see who they recommend and check out the AAV website. http://www.aav.org/

This is a medical problem and should be handled by someone who is qualified to make a diagnosis. It may be something simple that can be treated with medication or it may be something very complicated. I expect that a vet would draw blood, do a biopsy and take cultures. If these do not yield any results the vet might suggests x-rays.The symptoms you describe may have many causes, such as giardia, a tumor or a bacterial dermatitis to name a few possibilities, therefore a proper diagnosis is important and treatment cannot begin without knowing the cause of the problem.
Reply:Hi Reenee N has the answer. but its usually a few things that cause it bored ..bad diet..find out what other owner fed bird..but main reason is if has been deserted by other owner and it knows it these birds get very attached to it owners so find someone in your house it will tolerate and let them feed the bird give it baths and let it out for fly around it will get better.. have you sent lots on vet bills yet and have lots of creams and things for the bird and all it wants is its old place back and a cage it knows and a regular daily love and lots of it...allan
