Last summer, my skin was fine...not perfect but atleast the texture was good...i mean a few blimishes and breakouts here and there but nothing MAJOR! Now, it's crazy!! The texture of my skin is terrible, its..rough, like little breakouts just waiting in the wings....and the redness, very annoying...I mean i can do a pretty good job using makeup on it for awhile but the sun bakes it , the wind must wipe it away or irritate my skin...tons of things that over the day my blimishes become more evident. So anywayz, the texture is rough and UNEVEN ( that's the word) and I have cluster breakouts and very painful smallish bumps around my jawline...I'm almost 20 (in sept) and I don't know why all of a sudden it's sooo bad...I'm cutting out the junk food in hopes that that might help....any who, any good products out there...and don't say biore, it may be good but i also have pretty sensitive skin and it irritates it...so i'd be so grateful for any products or old remidies suggestions...THANKS!
In the past....5-7 months my skin has gone CRAZY!! and i'm not under any more stress now or anything, any help
Sounds like it's a hormone imbalance....which is normal for your age. Proactive works very well for some people, and the cleanser is a bit granulated, so it gives a lite exfoliating effect. Junk food really doesn't affect your skin. Try not to try too many different products at once to try to clear it up- you'll risk making it worse.
Apple cidar vinegar diluted is an old remedy you may want to try just to blot it on blemishes....it's supposed to act as a natural antibiotic for topical use.

Well, make sure you wash your face really good day and night. Also use Proactive its really good. Or maybe Clearisal Ultra!!
Reply:I have the same problem. I bought a mint clay mask from Target. Wash your face and mostiurize. Spread the mask on and go to sleep. It will absorb all of the gunk that is causing you problems. I also went to the dermotologist and he perscribed pills. Good luck
Reply:You should try Whole Body Cleanse by Phytopharmica or Enzymatic Therapy. It helps clear the toxins out of your body especially your skin. You might also try Arbonne's Clear Advantage skin care. I have see some great results with it. Also at health foods stores, there is a product called Clearin by Vaxa or Healthy Skin by Enzymatic Therapy. They help with balancing the pH of the skin.
Reply:My skin did the same thing when I got pregnant. Proactive is awesome and I also use the Neutrogena at home microdermabrasion. My skin looks better than it did pre-pregnancy.Also drink a lot of water.
Reply:Well hormones can play a huge role on what your face looks like. I'm 30 something and my face was fine last year...but this year...acne on my chin. Anyway...it happens.
You said you have sensitive skin...I would recommend you get on a regular skin care regimen. Skin Equations from BeautiControl should work well. As for the blemishes...if there are just a couple here and there....I would recommend their All Clear Blemish Block spot treatment. Works great at getting rid of them within a day or two. Otherwise, we could swap the cleanser in that line for the Skinlogics cleansing gel. That has the salicylic acid to control the breakouts. Works great for those cluster problems.
They have a money back guarantee as well. Or I could send a sample to you as well.
Good luck!

Reply:When it comes to the face, heat is the biggest key. Heat creates an atmosphere for your pores to expand. A hot rag (as hot as you can stand it) across the face is the best bet. As far as a topical treatment, you need to invest in a good scrub and a very fine toner. I tell people this all the time that I do makeup for. Here are some key things to remember when looking for cleansers:
1. A good scrub needs to have some sort of exfoliant (i.e. microbeads, pumice grains, etc.) in it. Once you have applied the hot rag to your face and opened up your pores, the scrub is used to get deep down into the pores and clean them out.
2. In a good scrub, stay away from anything that has a lot of soap or fragrance to it. Fragrance = additives that probably will makes things worse. Your main ingredient when looking for a scrub is salicylic acid. Salicylic acid acts as an antibacterial to cleanse deep to break up the blackheads and fight the bacteria causing them.
3. A good toner should be found because once the skin is clean, the toner is used to tighten the cleansed pores to minimalize the entrance of future bacteria. And sadly to say it (but get over it), A TONER DOES STINK! Its made primarily of alcohol, so it will stink! Get over it! It's worth it!
4. Lastly, and a lot of people don't think about this, find a light lotion with an added sunscreen (at least SPF 15). You want a light lotion (nothing fancy or fragrancy) with a sunscreen to prevent dryness from the toner and the sunscreen willhelp protect from sun damage (obviously!).
Always remember to catch blackheads before they start (before they become pimples)! And for the love of God: DO NOT PICK AT A PIMPLE IF YOU GET ONE! picking only creates more infection from the bacteria on your hands....and most importantly: it's just GROSS! Some brands to try for a scurb or toner would be: Oil of Olay, Biore`, Clinique, Clean %26amp; Clear, Clearasil.......just to name a few! Oh and p.s. to guys: just because girls use it in a commercial DOES NOT mean that a guy cannot use it too! A girl would like it a lot more to see a guy with a clean face and a cabinet full of girly skin care stuff, than Mister Zit next door! I'm gay....trust me on this!
