is it necessarily a negative expression?my university professor asked me today..I have absolutly no clue why ..
What does " I've really got under your skin,haven't I? " mean?
It's usually an insult i would think...Like you get on their nerves sooo bad...it's crawled under their skin!!! that's not fancying at alllllll
What does " I've really got under your skin,haven't I? " mean?
Means he really ticked you off.
Reply:"I've really got under your skin, haven't I?" usually refers to one person being annoyed by the other person, however in context it could also be his challenge of your literary premise or approach that made you THINK or question yourself, which can be a good thing in the learning process. Most things are considered established and 'cut and dried' therefore someone that introduces an alternative or challenge to that status quo could 'get under the skin'.
Reply:it could mean in 2 ways..
Ive gotten on your nerves..
and the 2nd way:Ive made you crave for me..
