Disclaimer: To all the atheists and agnostics to all the people that will respond with anger. Truly I ask this question in a sincere manner and not to judge or punish those of little or no faith.
Question: Throughout my years I have noticed such hatred for Christians across the USA and the world. I propose the following. When you are at a job interview why not bring up your religion? If you know the company that is going to hire you and pay you a salary why work for them? The same goes for an Atheist or Agnostic business owner that is about to hire an employee. This way you can make better choices when it comes to purchasing merchandise that Christian hands manufactured and Vise Versa. Since you are so filled with hate. Why not announce it in your everyday life? Just a suggestion.
God Bless you and have a lovely day.
This one will really get under your skin :)?
Hi, Moon, let's not mix religion with job, take care of your faith and be faithfull with your job too...people dont hate christians unless they are not real christians but people are afraid of christians beacuse the truth is in it. the truth will reveal the real picture of a person...coz we all are sinners. we do mistake,
This one will really get under your skin :)?
You ask this in a "sincere manner and to not judge" and yet in the same breath you generalize and say that people are "so filled with hate"? Guess what? That's judging. That's like saying "i don't want to make you mad, but you are a lowlife piece of filth." Go ask relevant questions that aren't meant to troll up pointless arguments and stop wasting everyone's time.
At least i got my 2 points.
Reply:Have you noticed all the hatred being spread by christians. I'm also being sincere but I think it's unfair to say that everyone is hating on christians and not pointing out all christians that spread hatred towards others.
Reply:I've been Christian almost my entire life. I now consider myself pagan. Not once when I was Christian did I feel hatred from anyone because of my religious beliefs. However, as a pagan, I'm scared for some of my husband's family members to find out I'm not Christian, because they're born-again Christians and then I am sure I will to feel the religious hatred you seem to think that everyone shows to Christians.
Reply:Well, for one, it's illegal for prospective employers to ask about your religion in the interview.
Also, because of my upbringing, I don't discuss religion or politics in polite company. I do that here.
I'm not really all that worried about the spiritual lives of the people manufacturing my consumables. Unless it's a sweatshop manned with children.
Reply:They don't do that because it's illegal. Unless your organization is a religious one (and the particular religion clearly stated, including atheism), then you cannot legally not hire someone because of their religion.
Reply:I have noticed that many Christians are filled with hate and judgment of all those who are not Christian. Most people that I know of other religions just don't like the judgment and proselytizing that they receive from their Christian counterparts.
As to why not bring it up in a job interview, that is a constitutionally protected category (religion), so they can't ask as they can't make their hiring decisions based on religion. It should just stay out of the work place.
Reply:Nice try. It's a Christian thing to do, to reach out and try to be fair. Good for you.
Reply:the persecution complex at work?
Reply:Could've fooled me because you are not, by any means, asking in a sincere manner. In fact, you are flaming and insulting.
Anyway, not hiring someone based on their religion or lack thereof can be considered discrimination and the company can get in a lot of pickle for that.
And going by your argument, since a lot of you Christians are so offended by science, isn't it reasonable to ask you people to stay away from all the "merchandise" that came about as a result of science?
Reply:for the first Q. no u shouldnt bring up ur religion no matter wat it is unless its a religion base company. If any no is a Christian and they didnt hire a person b/c of there religion thats a sin b/c ur judgin them. idk if u r but if ur a Cristian and a muslim didnt hire u for a job b/c ur religion i no i would be made it shoudnt matter to anyone but themselves and family and friends of anyone elses religion... (good question)
Reply:First of all, I never tell anyone I'm atheist unless they ask, but it's really none of their business. I don't ask what people's religions are because I don't care.
If I were an employer, and someone came out and told me they were Christian, then asked if I was, I would tell them it was none of their business and advise them proselytizing at work would be grounds for immediate dismissal, and would subject them to lawsuits from other employees for creating a hostile work environment.
Employers are NOT permitted to inquire regarding religious faith, as it violates Equal Employment Opportunity Commission rules, and would subject the employer to accusations of discrimination.
If that constitutes hatred, so be it. The feelings of pushy, "non-judgmental" Christians are none of my concern. They have no regard for they way we feel when they start yarking in our faces about Jeeeeeesus.
As for "Christian hands" manufacturing the goods someone sells, good luck on that. Most of the manufacturing on this planet is done in the third world, by Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Shintoists, and atheistic communist Chinese. This is because the "Good Christian Corporations" of America moved all the jobs overseas, so they wouldn't have to worry about paying hard-working Americans a living wage, nor have to worry about dealing with OSHA or the EPA. Even our "American" cars are up to 90% foreign-made content.
