I have pains and bumps under my skin in my hands and feet, what is wrong with me?

for about a week now i have been getting pains in my fingers. my fingers would become stiff and hard to bend. they're would also be hard bumps all around my fingers, especially near my joints. in the middle of the day this would start, and the pain would last all day. Then at night the pain goes away. these pains have been getting progressively worse since Tuesday. today my feet have started to feel the same way. my mom and I guessed that it was arthritis, but i'm only 19! how can someone have arthritis at 19? can anyone tell me what is wrong with me? i'm going to the doctor Tuesday.

The symptoms on a basic level sound like Rheumatoid Arthritis. Take some time and look up the symptoms of RA and see if they match. I am not a doctor, but your basic description matches RA's symptoms.

The doctor should be able to diagnosis this with no problem for you.

I am happy to hear it is not RA. I was hoping it wasn't. I hope you get all your answers at the doctors:) Report It

Reply:It is possible it's arthritis. I've got a friend younger than me with it in her knees (I'm 20). There are many things that don't wait for aging. I know someone who started going grey at 16. I've got an uncle who, in his first year of university, was told by his barber that he was going bald. I was diagnosed with cancer 3 1/2 years ago. There are many nasty things out there to get us. I'm glad you've got the sense to have made an appointment already, I hope everything goes ok.
