Since it's on your face then it's probably a pimple. If you have had this longer than a week and it has stayed the same, see a dermatologist, if not, ice it and put some Clearasil or some other kind of drying product on it. Don't leave the ice on for more than 10 minutes as it will freeze your skin and not accomplish a thing except to freeze your skin. The ice will shrink the spot and is one of the best things known. If you are still broken out then the doc can give you a shot of cortisone in that bump and it will be gone in hours. If if continues with no let up then do see your doc.

toothpaste should dry it out, or ice will reduce the swelling temporarily
Reply:Ice cube to take down the swelling.After shave if it comes to the surface.I had a swelling under the skin and it was diagnosed as an infected cyst and i had a course of anti biotics to get rid of it.

Red and swollen sounds like an infection to me. Get to a doctor, now.
Reply:if its one of those pimples that hasnt broken through the skin yet just let it be until it comes out on its own....DO NOT try to poke it with a needle or force it out because all u do is scar ur face and have a giant hole and scab on ur face...trust me ive done it and it was a bad idea!! use ice to reduce the swelling and visine eye drops to reduce the redness
Reply:Sounds like an ingrown pimple-I find that the best thing is to cleanse your face well before bed and dab some toothpaste on it-I use colgate or crest. Do not poke it or try to pop.

Reply:i use "oxy" emergency zit blizer, it brill, In a little red tube, from boots or superdrug, or tesco, if your from uk, it fades the redness in 8 hours, and i can swear on my sons life that it works!!


also tooth paste is also good as will dry spots out, but that oxy stuff great, about 4 quid a tube, but it last ages, them spots are the worse as they hurt like hell!
