I have a lpainful lump under the skin on cheek, it feels like it's on my jawbone?

It's not in my mouth or anything, it's on the outside of my jawbone. It's only sore/tender when i apply any pressure there. I can feel a lump and it kind of moves a little bit. Any idea what this could be?

under and around your jaw a can easily be a lymph node.





You could well be on your way to being sick with a cold/flu like symptoms.





Your lymph nodes house your t and b cells which are what fight off viral badies, even before you have symptoms of illness they can get vamped up to mass produce more copies of themselves to destroy your "illness"





Also it could just be a boil of some kind and you might want to have it lanced, though in this case I would expect it to be some off normal color and visible on the surface clearly.

Have you considered making an appointment with your physician and getting a straight answer instead of speculation on here?
Reply:i have had that before and i went to the doctor and he said that it was simply a small lump of cells that had trailed away from the family. nothing to be alarmed about but if you feel the need, call your doctor. good luck
