I have a little lump under the skin on my shin.?

It's about the size of pea, you can move it around and it doesn't hurt, but you can clearly feel it. Is this anyhing to worry about? I don't want to bother my doctor in case it's just a cyst or something. Anyone had anything simelar to this? Thanks in advance :)

It's a cyst. If it's small, it won't need treatment, but larger ones are usually excised (cut out) using forceps or some other scalpel. Your cyst is small-medium sized, and i would advise you to see a doctor to have it removed as it can get damaged easily, which could lead to infection

Its best to get it checked out..it will put your mind at rest! You wont be bothering your doctor..after all their job is to help you!
Reply:I have three. I've had them years but only noticeable when I kneel down or bend my legs.


I was told they are shin splints, but hey I'm curious to know other coments.
