What is the skin on an orange under the rind called?

It goes by a few names.... I mainly use Albedo. Also, it's technically more accurate to use Albedo. However, some people use Pith or Pericarp.

The pith.
Reply:The white stuff is called PITH.
Reply:It is the pith and usually unsweet and quite bitter.
