What is the reference in the Book of Revelation about the Mark of the Beast? Just curious if this is ever going to come about in our lifetime.

It is interesting how people with no understanding of Bible prophecy try to explain the book of Revelation. One person said that the church will be raptured prior to the time of the antichrist, How does he explain these verses in


2 Thessalonians 2:1-4?





Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: FOR THAT DAY SHALL NOT COME, EXCEPT THERE COME A FALLING AWAY FIRST, AND THAT MAN OF SIN BE REVEALED, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God





Notice the timing of the rapture. Even a child would understand that the man of sin must first be revealed, then the rapture takes place.





In addition, the mark of the beast issue is about worship not ID numbers. The beast in Revelation 13 wants our worship, our obedience. He wants to be as God. ID cards or chips have nothing to do with worship or obedience. In fact, there is nothing religious about them. They are purely secular in nature, having much more to do with security. The real issue is over allegiance to God and His law, versus allegiance to Satan and his law.

already has in some prison systems on paroled offenders its more in the testing right now

Reply:Will you people please stop going on about this mark of the beast/RFID chip relationship. It isn't there. They can't be used to monitor you from long distances. At best all they can do is tell if you entered a particular building or not.





The chips they use in *ahem* _real life_ , are similar to the security chips you find in stores to tag merchandise so when you leave the store without deactivating it the alarm goes off.





I suppose you avoid GPS navigation aswell because you fear the same thing.

Reply:the Mark of the Beast is a mark that some believe you will have to accept in order to eat, buy goods and services and just survive while Satan rules earth. but if you do, some say you are condemned to spend eternity in hell when God comes back to earth. Not taking the mark means you would live a very hard life,but only until God comes to save all his children
Reply:Yes this has everything to do with the mark of the beast,it is being done in prisons,I am sure unknowingly to our military and it


is now being implemented under the guise of protection. mark your children, and pets so if lost they can be found.Ir is being used to stop identity thief.Just Pray Jesus returns soon,before they put in place the new world order.Jesus did say "THE TIME MUST BE SHORTENED,OR NO FLESH COULD BE SAVED "
Reply:The mark of the beast will happen 3-1/2 years after the rapture, the Church will be gone and those left will have to make a decision between worshiping the anti-christ and taking this mark or following God and most likely dying.





I to have had fear that society would choose to put in a chip or a mark of some kind on everyone and I would have to make a stand. I understand now that it is a pretty sure thing that you can not make a mistake, you will know if it's the sigh if you are a Christian.





I don't plan to be around when it happens.
