I'm 24, I have thin dry facial skin. I never had pimples and now I am getting them under my nose, chin, face.

My face used to be really clear and now I have 5 red, painful pimples in a perfect triangle from the bottom of my new along the side of my face to the bridgeof my nose. I am embarassed to go outside. I've never broken out like this before. I am using this cetaphil generic target brand facial cleanser for my face, I wash my face once a day. I don't put any moisturizer on and I need help. I don't want to dry my face out, but I keep getting pimples under my nose and under my chin that never go away, and my face now. Help!

PIMPLES

Pimples is a unique skin disorder.Pimples are lesions that occur when the skin鈥檚 pores are obstructed or infected. They can form for a variety of reasons. However, the mechanism involved in causing some pores to collapse and block drainage of natural oils is not really understood. Pimples may also crop up for genetic reasons. It is not clear how it can be inherited from one鈥檚 parents, but studies do indicate a high occurrence of pimples in children whose parents had it,too.

The pimples associated with adolescence almost certainly occur because of hormonal changes that take place during puberty. Both males and females get an overdose of the male hormone testosterone during this period, causing excessive generation of sebaceous fluids that invariably cause pimples.

GIVEN BELOW ARE A FEW SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES TO FIGHT PIMPLES.

1.The most basic form of pimple prevention is hygiene and preventive skin care. Regular washing of the affected areas with mild soap is a must. The soap need not necessarily contain any chemicals designed to prevent pimples .However, face washing should not be overdone or the skin will become dehydrated .

2.Care should be taken on makeup, moisturizers and other skin care products. If these products are oil based,it would just make the problem worse. Use water based products instead.

3.Generally we rub, press or squeeze our pimples.Don鈥檛 when we do this,we risk spreading the bacteria to other areas.

4.Lemon juice diluted in water can be applied externally because of its antiseptic

quality.

5.Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.

6.Vitamin A tablets are also a natural and effective cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.

7.Before bathing, apply a mixture of fresh tomato pulp, honey and rose-water to your face and keep for twenty minutes before washing off.

8.Juice of raw papaya is the best treatment for pimples.Apply fresh juice of raw papaya on pimples and get a good result.

9.Directly rub potato slices all over the face, helps to get rid of blemishes and

pimple scar.

10.Drink plenty of water and vegetable or fruit juices.

11.Use cucumber or other fruit and vegetable packs to cure pimple scars.

12.Maintain a diet that is rich in cottage cheese, salads, fresh juices, fish and

yogurt. These help to cleanse your system and ward off pimples.

13.Another overnight home remedy for pimples is to put a dab of toothpaste on it to help dry it out. Calamine lotion also will have the same drying effect.

14.Pound orange peel with water and apply to affected areas.

15.Another useful remedy for pimples is zinc. Which can be taken in a dose of 50 mg daily for a month and then reduce the dose.

16.You can clean your skin with apple cider vinegar as an overnight home pimple remedy.

17.Aspirin contains Beta hydroxy acid which is a powerful defoliant ,so you can crush 1to 2 Aspirin tablets mix with a little water and apply on pimples for 15 minutes and wash.

Finally, certain medications may temporarily alter the hormonal changes prevalent during adolescence and cause pimple outbreaks. If this is the case, a simple adjustment in medication may be all that is required.

Have you tried clearsil???
Reply:Hmm are you stressed out at all? Using any new products (including new laundry detergent, fabric softener, etc.)? Have you recently gone on a multivitamin/supplements--that did it to me. I'd buy an acne spot treatment like Oxy ($5). If I were you, and this persists, i'd see a dermatologist--adult acne can be caused by different reasons than teenage acne, and often the same treatments don't work. I'd switch to a better cleanser and start moisturizing with a light/oil-free one with SPF.

Whats a quick way to tighten up skin after exstreme weight loss in under 4 months?

Im deployed and gain that cocky muscle bound look but still have a flabby chest and stomach, Ive tried everything, i think, so far and nothin works, just keep getting stronger but not that no fat body look,
Whats a quick way to tighten up skin after exstreme weight loss in under 4 months?
Well if you lose quickly, you trade fat for loose skin unfortunately. Here's what is recommended:

"Surgery to Remove Hanging Skin

Though continued exercise and fat loss will help reduce hanging skin around the abs, inner thighs and underarms, a surgical procedure is likely necessary to remove the loose skin. While weight loss surgery is often covered under medical insurance plans, skin removal is considered cosmetic surgery and is not covered by insurance. Prevention is the ideal way to deal with loose, hanging skin due to weight loss.

Prevent Loose Skin After Weight Loss

Exercise regularly to tighten and tone problem areas

Follow a healthy diet plan

Do resistance training 3 times a week to build new muscle for the skin to adhere to

Count calories

Don’t follow an extremely restrictive diet

Drink a lot of water

Lose weight slowly

Talk to your doctor about healthy weight loss options

Ways to Tighten Loose Skin After Extreme Weight Loss

Continue to exercise regularly

Concentrate on strength training exercises

Eat lean poultry and other proteins with each meal

Try over-the-counter creams to tighten the loose skin

Consider surgical options to remove hanging skin"

This article says the same BUT adds some more info:

"“There is an inherent elasticity in everyone’s skin, but once you get to a certain size, the elasticity decreases,” explains Jason Spector, M.D., assistant professor of plastic surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

The tissue expands and your body literally makes more skin by producing more skin cells. And those annoying stretch marks? “They are the artifacts of the breakdown of the normal architecture of skin,” Spector says.

Plan of Action: Keep your skin moisturized with inexpensive lotion and water.

What are the biggest factors that determine my skin’s elasticity?

“The two biggest factors that determine skin elasticity are age and genetics,” Spector says. And, unfortunately, both are out of our control. How quickly you’ve gained the weight, as well as how quickly you’ve lost it, may also be a factor.

Losing weight over a longer period of time may give you more of a fighting chance. However, Spector says, there are no credible studies that show what a person can do to head off the excess skin as they’re losing weight.

Plan of Action: Slower weight loss - one to two pounds a week - can help with your skin’s elasticity.

Can my diet help me to lose some of the extra skin?

Yes, in small ways. “Your intake of food and fluids before, during, and after losing weight is a factor for your skin,” says Harry Pino, Ph.D., director of exercise physiology at the Obesity Consult Center of Tufts-New England Medical Center.

First, Pino advocates maintaining a lower fat diet and eating lean proteins to help minimize the extra skin, even after you’ve lost the weight. Second, hydration is crucial. That means drinking plenty of water [64 ounces or eight cups per day].

Also, when someone exercises vigorously, they lose electrolytes (like sodium and potassium! through sweat; water alone can’t replace this, which is why Pino recommends using sports drinks with electrolytes.

Pino also recommends that his patients eat lots of water-rich foods such as fruits and vegetables. “A well-hydrated body helps your muscles to respond better to strength training,” he says.

“Staying properly hydrated is also terrific for skin health in general,” says Jonathan Ross, owner of Aion Fitness outside Washington, D.C. and the American Council on Exercise’s personal trainer of the year.

Plan of Action: Carry a water bottle around with you all day.

What about my fitness routine? Are there specific exercises I can do to tone up my skin?

“It isn’t that you’re toning up the skin itself,” says Cedric Bryant, Ph.D., chief science officer for the American Council on Exercise. “But by adding muscle, you can form a tight layer under the skin.” That can improve how the skin looks, and take away some of the sag effect.

Basically, the best course of action is to preserve your muscles while losing fat, Pino says. That’s especially important for people who have followed strict calorie restriction plans because they may have lost muscle right along with the fat.

You have to build the muscle back up again. “Endurance exercise will burn fat, but you also need to add strength training,” he says, noting that the skin of patients who do both tends to react better.

Plan of Action: Work with both dumbbells and resistance-training machines. Emphasize higher reps with lower weights.

Can all this extra skin be healthy?

“It’s far better to have extra skin than the alternative - extra weight. Sagging skin puts much less stress on your heart and metabolic system than fat,” Bryant says.

There are times, however, when the skin can become yeasty and infected, which is uncomfortable and a medical problem. Ross actually worked with a woman who went from 380 to 155 pounds, which left her with a layer of skin around her waist and back that kept getting infected.

Her insurance actually paid for her to have surgery to remove the skin (which is actually rare, Ross says).

Plan of Action: Keep an eye on changes to your skin and if you have any concerns at all, consult your doctor.

Surgery seems extreme. At what point is that an option?

Certainly, if you have infection problems, surgery - often called “body contouring” - can be necessary. But other than that, it’s a personal decision.

Spector sees patients seeking surgery every day, most often for the extra skin around the midsection, where a scar can easily be hidden in the bikini line.

He’s also performed surgeries to remove excess skin in arms and thighs (it’s much harder to hide these scars], and to fill in and lift deflated breasts. He always recommends that a person wait at least six months after losing weight to ensure that they are at a stable weight.

Recovery time for the surgery varies, but usually patients go home from the hospital in a few days and take a few weeks off from work.

Surgery is the only solution that gets rid of the skin for good, but that doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. After all, it involves general anesthesia, suturing, recovery time, and scarring.

It’s often expensive and most patients have to pay out of pocket. “It’s not an easy path, but it can be rewarding,” Spector says.

Plan of Action: Be your best research tool. Find out all you can. www.plasticsurgery.org"

If you have any vasoline you could use that. When my skin gets really dry (or when I have a terrible cold and my nose gets raw and dry) I put loads of vaseline on my face and just sleep with a towel on my pillow, over night some of the moisture rubs off but the rest absorbs in, and the next day my skin looks and feels much better. Also tomorrow when you use your concealer, mix in some moistureizer with it so it wont be as drying.

you should drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated. i would advise you to not wear too much make up because the skin under your eyes are extremely sensitive at this stage and it could only further irritate your skin. whatever product that you use, make sure you read the ingredient label first to make sure it doesn't contain any toxic chemicals that could have adverse effects on your skin. look for names like methylparaben, dimethicone, etc. you can refer to this site https://kellylovesorganic.mionegroup.com... to learn more about the ingredients listed in our daily skin care.

I would also not advise you to use your normal moisturiser for your eyes.
Reply:means you don't havr much moisture in your eyes
Reply:Try using Aloe Vera Gel or Cocanut oil. They both work great as moisturizers. For a burn though, I suggest Aloe Vera. This is all I have used for years.

I have red spot on my skin, they're getting worse when under the sun, when exercise, taking bath, pls help

It could be an allergy or a common skin reaction. The common theme between the times you listed is that your skin is hot when you're doing those activities. It could be a heat rash which is when your skin gets red, irritated and bumpy when you're in a hot location. Sweat can also be an irritant.

Do you get red and bumpy when swimming in an indoor swimming pool? Most pools are not warm enough to cause the rash.

I recommend looking up information about heat rash and allergic reactions (hives) and possibly seeing a dermatologist.

Sounds like you have a case of eczema. Where exactly is it located. Does it get dry and flaky at times? Does it itch? If so you may want to try Aveeno bath for the itching and moisturize your skin periodically. Sweat and different types of soaps can irritate this, so i suggest you use a mild soap. This condition is not curable, but you can control symptoms. contact your local physician.

What product should I buy from sephora to make skin matte, non-oily all day...like to put on under make-up?

I have oily skin and use a powder foundation for acne by almay and it helps control it...but still, i have a coat of oil on my skin after an hour or so after putting on the makeup. I could keep applying powder, but it does not look good. What is the best sebum controlling product out there?
What product should I buy from sephora to make skin matte, non-oily all day...like to put on under make-up?
I get a lot of clients with oilier skin, and have found that the best primer for oilier skin is Becca Mattifying Primer. It imparts a matte finish to oilier, shiny skin as it extends the wear of both liquid and cream makeup. It works to visibly improve the look and texture of the skin by smoothing fine lines and pores to create an even canvas for makeup. It also helps the skin retain moisture without a greasy feel.

Why don't you also try using a liquid foundation instead. Makeup Forever makes a Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation. It is a shine controlling, oil-free, water-resistant, complete coverage liquid foundation. Hides imperfections, evens out skin tone, and mattifies with a non-oily, perfectly powdered finish. The result is flawless and lasts for hours. Then top it off with their Super Matte Loose Powder. Choose either a shade that matches your skintone or the #12 universal translucent tone."

Makeup Forever also carries a primer for oily skin (All Mat). I've just never used it. I might try it when I run out of my Becca primer. I just think you might be happier with the results from a liquid foundation. I hate the look of powder foundation.
