How many minutes will it take for a skin to darken under the sun?

There are variables. Where in the world are you? The sun reaches peak intensity at different times in different parts of the world.


You skin tone is a factor. A fair person will have color in ten minutes. A medium-toned person will gain color in 20. A dark skinned person, may take a half hour.


Another factor is whether you are using sublock, tan lotion, or tan accelerators. You can gain color usually in 15 min.


Also the body part exposed makes a difference. A part not normally exposed may burn in under 15 minutes. I would start slow, and gradually increase my time if tanning was my goal.





In real life, I would buy a airbrush tan, wear a hat, and use sunblock. Sun causes skin cancer, wrinkles, changes the way cells work, increasing other cancers, etc.


Your skin will contine to tan after you leave the sun, so you may not notice the color if out in the sun for a short ime until the next day. If tanning is the plan, try a few minutes first, then apply protection. Increase gradually. Hope it helps.

It depends. Some skin doesn't darken in the sun it may burn instead. The darker your skin, the quicker it will be to tan. Although some people naturally tan quickly, for example within an hour. For some it may take at least a day out in the sun. Hople I have helped xxx

the skin is lighter because the hair is usually there blocking it from the normal sunlight your face usually gets. You will have to blend in some concealer to help blend it in. the pimples i get too, for me it is because they put that wax on and then oil to calm the irritation. I was real good before I go and again when I get home to remove that oil they have on the cotton ball they rub over your eyes. you cannot help it now, to late but just clean it gently and they will clear up. try placing some ice in a washcloth and resting them on your eyes. it will help calm the after effects, it will not do that as much if you keep up with it but if you wait and go again much later then it will happen all over again. and yes, i do know how badly it hurts when they do it, I don't know of anyway around that. you can also try some aloe, the stuff you put on sunburn, that will help sooth it too.

Reply:yeah it will happend i got them waxed wen i was 13 but im still 13 but yeah thats wat happend to me it will go away.
Reply:Well right after i get my eyebrows done i wipe the oil off with a tissue and when i get home, i go over them with rubbing alchol, it burns a little but it removes the oil well and disinfects.

Since you have combination skin, you can practically use any namebrand on your skin. Try Suave products, as they're usually cheaper, though, than other products but made with the same ingrediants. Also, Clean and Clear works well too.

I have them too and I have been told that the only way to do it is to go to a doctor and have them taken care of. I believe there are creams that will minimize them but they arent like pimples, they are just bumps. You should look it up on the internet or on webmd.

I have and its crap - it did nothing. Theres a new product out at Myer and its especially for dark circles and bags. Its about $115 for a little jar but apparently it really works. Im going to buy that as a nice xmas treat for myself :)

Reply:I personally think that the Skin Doctors products aren't very good. (Personal opinion, but I have tried a lot of them)





Try Benefit - they have a good gel that stops puffing. It is only a temporary solution though and doesn't rid them permanently.





Try an illuminiser. I find these kinds of sparkly products hide the dark circles the best.





It also depends on why you have them. Is it lack of sleep or just poor circulation around that area?
Reply:Regular skin care is required to maintain the area surrounding your eyes. Use a gel or a cream and rub it gently around the orbital bone. The orbital bone is the area that falls directly under the eye structure. Be careful not to rub harshly when you rub around the eye area. The harsh rubbing can only lead to more irritation.








Apply the cream to the skin and relax for sometime. If you have to put on a facemask, then soak the little cotton pads into the soap water and place it on the eyes when they are closed. Otherwise, you may use them around 2 cucumber slices to make your eyes cooler. In this way you can provide a pleasant feeling to your eyes. And you can get rid of your dark circles around your eyes quickly. Your skin will glow when these circles vanish.

Just inspected my 15 year old dog and his skin is about the same as when he was a pup. He didn`t appreciate it as he`s giving it the zzzzzz`s on the settee. His fur is not a shiny as it was. he`s certainly greyer and wizened but his coat has certainly protected him from the elements.

A lot of the time old dogs get heavy from moving less, so their skin doesnt wrinkle!
Reply:Not so much, wrinkly, but it certainly becomes dry and tired. Then their coats begin to look dull and in some cases, begin to look like the fur is in tufts.





I don't think they hold the secret of eternal youth, they just age in a different way. Also remember that their skin isn't exposed to the harmful UV rays that humans are afflicted by, they keep their skin covered, in fur!





So, in a way, they might be able to show us how to protect our skin!
